Did you know? Thickness of Glass Matters A Lot
Let’s take for example 36 mm thick triple glass and 40 mm thick triple glass that have the same technology and are identical in every respect except thickness. Glass with a thickness of 36 mm will have 15% worse thermal insulation than glass with a thickness of 40 mm. More precisely, a 36 mm thick glass will have a value of (U g ) = 0.7 W/m 2 K, and a 40 mm thick glass will have a value of (U g ) = 0.6 W/m 2 K. What is (U g ) = the lower the value, then the glass has better thermal insulation.
